August 8, 2011:  This is a list of the US companies that have a AAA rating with Standard and Poors (S&P) after S&P downgraded US Treasury debt to AA+.

Today S&P reaffirmed the AAA rating for these four companies:
  1.     Automatic Data Processing (ADP)
  2.     Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM)
  3.     Johnson & Johnson (JNJ)
  4.     Microsoft Corp. (MSFT)
Since S&P downgraded the U.S. national debt, Friday, to AA+, all four of these companies rate higher than the U.S. government treasury debt!

The last major U.S. institution to lose its AAA credit rating was Warren Buffet’s investment firm Berkshire Hathaway (BRKA).  BRKA lost its AAA rating, in 2010.

S&P also said AA+ rated General Electric (GE) & WW Granger (GWW) will not be affected by their downgrade of US Treasury debt. Conspicously absent from this list was  Berkshire Hathaway.
