February 26, 2014:  The S&P500 closed today at 1845.12 where it is just a few points below its all-time record high of 1858.71.  With the great gains for the market this past year, It should be no surprise that today the State Street Investor Confidence index for February 2014 surged to 123.0 from the January 2014 revised lower (Originally reported as 114.4) reading of 114.3.    More about the State Street Investor Confidence Index

According to State Street, "The State Street Investor Confidence Index® measures confidence directly and quantitatively by assessing the changes in investor holdings of equities, implementing a model developed by State Street Global Markets’ research partnership, State Street Associates.
