May 14, 2014: Tax Rates1 for 2014 after the passage of Proposition 30 in the November 6, 2012 election which added between 1 and 3% to the top brackets which used to be 9.3%:

A 1% surcharge, the Mental Health Services Tax, is collected on taxable incomes of $1 million or more, making California's highest marginal rate 13.30%.
CA Tax rates for 2014 are: Schedule X — Single or married/RDP filing separately Top of Page Schedule Y — Married/RDP filing jointly, or qualifying widow(er) with dependent child Top of Page
