July 9, 2013: On July 6, 2013 Flight 214 was due to
land in San Francisco at 11:30 a.m. local time. The plane's
landing gear was out as Flight 214
was coming in with what appears to be a mild crosswind. Flight
214 came in below recommended air speed and was too low to clear the
seawall before the runway. The pilot apparently applied power to
abort the landing and try again, but it was too late. The plane
crashed into the seawall and the back of the plane ripped off. As
of today, two young girls are dead, the first deaths every for a Boeing
777 crash.
