August 14, 2013:   This chart shows the next four support levels for the S&P500 index on a closing basis.
  1. Test of prior top at 1,669.16
  2. 50-day moving average now at 1,655.69
  3. 200-day moving average now at 1,547.47
  4. Dashed-green lower support channel line now at 1,500.
Chart 2 shows the support levels on an intraday basis, which may be better for trading.

On chart 2 using an intraday basis you can see test of prior top at 1,687.18 is ongoing and actually looks like it is resistance to moving higher after the 7.52% correction from 1687.18 to 1560.33.
