My Estimate of
Total Revenue from Superbowl 51 Advertisements

February 1, 2017:  Question: What is the price paid by advertisers for a 30 second Super Bowl commercial during the 2017 broadcast?

Answer:  This table below shows the price of a 30 second commercial advertisement during the 2013 Super Bowl for the 2016/2017 season will cost between $5.0 million and $5.5 million dollars!  The Fox network, which will carry Super Bowl 51, could pull in over $400 million if they sell as many ads as CBS sold last year.

Total revenue from Superbowl 51 ads:  According to Sports Illustrated, the Fox network could make $247.5M just from 30 second commercials during this year's telecast:
Last year, excluding "free" ads run by CBS and the NFL, 62 total advertisements ran during the telecast. Forty-five of those were 30-second spots and 17 ran for a full minute. If there’s a similar number of 30-seconders this year, Fox could bring in up to $247.5 million just from 30-second ads.
My guess is FOX will give a discount for a full minute so seventeen adds could run $10M each for another $170M.  Adding $170M for full minute ads plus $247.5 million for thirty second ads gives an estimated total of $417.50 million dollars!
