November 5, 2014:  Resistance and Support Levels for the price of gold and its ETF GLD.   Gold closed today at $1,140 per oz.  Gold continues to confound the bulls and reward the bears.  Is it time for a change?
  1. Gold and GLD prices from 2007 to Today:  Gold price is testing double support.
  2. Gold and GLD prices from 2000 to Today:  This chart shows Gold is now at the orange internal trend line I drew long ago where in March I called this my "fat pitch" price. 
    • The PNF (Point and Figure) chart shows a bearish price objective of $1,050.  ($90 or 7.9% lower)

    Today I bought some GLD here for a trade in my personal trading account but I haven't decided if I will add it to the newsletter explore portfolio since just two days ago I added a new stock to the portfolio that I expect to do much better than gold.  I also own a small amount of gold in physical form for "Armageddon Insurance." Note how I warned of a possible top way back on August 25, 2011 with this post showing Gold at the top of the channel at $1,856 back when message boards loved gold.  Now there is very little interest in gold on message boards.
